Birth and Immediate Posptartum Photos

Several minutes after Ruby emerges from the water,  all pink and wiggly, Chris reaches down and says to me "I think we have a daughter!"  We all suspected this to be the case all along, but it was nice to have confirmation.

This seems to be everybody's favorite photo ... What cheeks!

           

This polka dot hat (mommy's favorite) hardly fits her now, due to her ever expanding brain.  I recently read that if a baby were to continue growing at the rate it does in the first 3 months of life, it would be the size of a blue whale by age 4.
